🚨 Calling ALL Women Farmers — Sound the Alarm! 🚨

Thank you to the great state of Georgia for recognizing the power of women in agriculture. Whether you’re growing in pots, 5-gallon buckets, your backyard, a community garden, or across acres of land — YOU are a farmer.

If you grow fruits, vegetables, herbs, teas, or food that nourishes your family and community… you belong in this movement.

This is International Women in Agriculture Month, and we are celebrating every woman who puts her hands in the soil and her heart into the work.

🌻 Backyard gardeners
🐝 Beekeepers
🐑 Livestock & sheep farmers
🦙 Alpaca & emu raisers
🦃 Poultry keepers
🌿 Herbalists & growers
🚜 Small-scale and large-scale producers

No farm is too small. No dream is too big.

✨ Drop a comment and tag a woman farmer who inspires you.

🌼🐝 Did You Know? Winter Bees Are Nature’s Survivors! ❄️🍯
While most insects don’t make it through the cold, winter bees are built differently. These amazing little creatures can live up to 6 months, working together to stay warm, share honey, and protect their hive all season long.
From the chill of winter to the bloom of spring, they care for their colony, raise new life, and keep nature thriving. 🌸✨

🌱 Did you know?
So many common “weeds” are actually edible and packed with nutrients! 👀

BUT — and this is IMPORTANT — never eat something just because you think you know what it is. Misidentification can be dangerous.

At SugaFoot Farms, we always encourage learning first, harvesting second. One of the best tools we use is the PictureThis app 📱 — you can snap a photo, identify plants, and even create a garden log with pictures to track what’s growing around you.

🌿 Our Farm Tip:
✔️ Take photos regularly
✔️ Create a garden journal/log
✔️ Learn plant stages before harvesting
✔️ When in doubt — leave it out!

Learning your land is part of the journey. The more you observe, the more confident you become 🌻

🌿🐓 Spring is showing up at SugaFoot Farms — even when the weather can’t make up its mind!

One day it’s sunshine, the next it’s chilly and gray… but our girls don’t seem to mind one bit. They’re back in the swing of spring and filling the nest boxes again! 🥚

At SugaFoot Farms, we’re reminded that nature keeps moving forward no matter how unpredictable the forecast may be. The rhythm of the farm teaches patience, resilience, and gratitude — and these beautiful eggs are proof that new seasons always find their way.

Here’s to longer days, fresh starts, and the simple joy of collecting eggs straight from the coop. Spring is waking up, and so are we. 🌱✨
