Spear Vineyards is located in the heart of the Sta. Rita Hills AVA. Established in 2001, the Sta. Rita Hills appellation is uniquely oriented east to west availing itself entirely to the nearby Pacific Ocean. Strong maritime influences of wind and fog coupled by largely ocean derivative soils result in an extremely long and cool growing season. Such conditions prove ideal to transparently steward wines which transmit our estate vineyard voice with the utmost lucidity and sincerity.
