Windrun Vintners began in 2010 with the help of Santa Barbara County winemaker Ken Brown, a living legend to growers, vintners, and many
fine wine collectors in the US. As Santa Barbara has become renown for its Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Windrun and Ken Brown agreed to strive for fine Pinot Noirs and
Chardonnays at consumer-friendly prices, sourcing the best wines from the best appellations avail

able for their strategic plan. The “wind run” of a vineyard measures the cooling afternoon breezes, critical to development of these wines. Thus the brand was born and our 2009 Windrun Santa Barbara County Chardonnay and 2009 Windrun Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir, now collectors’ wines, went to market. Scott Burns joined as managing partner and Mark Oliver as market specialist in December 2012, but our strategy hasn’t changed. We aim to import something from the best wine cultures by putting excellent wines on the diner’s table at an affordable price.

Today we celebrate 1 year being open here in the Lompoc W**e Ghetto and we truly cannot express how grateful we are for the absolute best year ever! We have had the best time meeting new people, making new friends and learning so much along the way. We could not have done this without all of YOU! This has been the best journey and we hope that you continue to enjoy this space we have created here in little ol Lompoc! 😊
