New Wine + New Release

We are so excited to announce our inaugural release of the 2025 Aligoté, coming from Calleri Vineyard in San Benito County. The vineyard is planted with cuttings from La Corvée de Bully — a small, historic old-vine site in Burgundy known for its massale selections and heritage material, including but not limited to the Doré clone.

Aligoté is known for its small clusters and beautiful pink-tinged berries mixed with golden hues. Fermented and aged in concrete egg, the wine develops both texture and complexity while preserving freshness. Think 🍋🍊🍍🍏🍐 with a pale grey hue and a subtle blush of pink in the glass.

On the palate, crisp acidity with layers of citrus, green apple, pear, pineapple, and a light mineral, saline finish, full of energy and perfect for warm, summer bbqs.

Great wine starts in living soil and that’s what we celebrate this Earth Day 🌎. This isn’t just farming at Paicines Ranch, it’s a system that gives back more than it takes with Regenerative Farming practices.
Slide 1: 🍷Good wine doesn’t start in the cellar.
Slide 2: It starts with living soil that increases biodiversity. Healthy soil = healthier vines = better fruit.
Slide 3: 🌿Cover crops instead of bare dirt mixed with native plants, adding biodiversity.
Slide 4: 🐦‍⬛The birds aren’t just passing through, they’re a part of this ecosystem, keeping things in balance.
Slide 5: 🐏 Sheep grazing year round instead of machinery.
Slide 6: 🍇You can taste the difference when fruit is grown with intention.
Slide 7: 🌎Earth Day isn’t just a post, it’s the choices we make every day! Celebrate Earth Day with wines rooted in Regenerative Farming and drink with intention! Pictured here are our 2024 Mencia and 2023 Grenache from Paicines Ranch available online and in the Tasting Room. 🍷🌱

Warmer days arrived sooner than expected this year, wakening the vines ahead of schedule at the beginning of March with bud break signaling the new growing season. Now in April, we are seeing these tiny buds stretch into green shoots with leaf development followed by flowering.

As we step into Earth Month, we’re reminded just how connected we are to the rhythms of the land. Early warmth can mean a shorter growing season, but it’s also too early to tell and calls for thoughtful stewardship. With bud break happening sooner, the vines become more sensitive to shifting weather patterns, and our role as caretakers becomes even more important. Earth Month is a time to honor that responsibility — to farm with intention, to nurture the soil, and to ensure that what we give back to the land is just as meaningful as what we receive.
