First dahlia bucket haul of 2026. So far, this year has been a much better year for dahlias than last year. Thankfully, we have had more rain and that has made for much healthier plants that want to bloom earlier.

July can be a hot month and we try to let the flowers (and us) take a break. Things had slowed down, but as August approaches, we are seeing the signs of an explosion of blooms that hopefully is coming soon!

Happy 4th of July and 250th birthday America 🇺🇸

We thought it was fitting to feature this blue vase that has some Kentucky history. I’m still learning about Kentucky pottery, but I think it is Bybee or Waco. The artist signed the bottom of the vase and wrote that the bird is an orchard oriole and the date is 1930.
