Finally got some rain!
These guys are enjoying the cool down and new grass.

Barberpole is the biggest parasite concern in our area.
Now that the sheep are nibbling at the short grass coming up in the barnyard it’s time for a health check. I’ll look under the eyelids of each sheep and check the color. From bright red to white will tell what parasite load they are carrying.

I left the Christmas lights up because I thought they’d be cheerful on dreary winter days. It’s been so miserably cold I haven’t felt like hanging out long enough to turn them on. And, there have been some horrific barn fires this year, so the less electricity running in the barn the better.

I snapped a couple shots but can’t decide which I like better…
