Separating the cattle today in preparation to sending them to the processor. #3 bull must have known what was up...he tried to kick me numerous times and felt the wrath of Chris. He never did like me and was always trying to F with me at feeding time..the feeling was mutual. He won't be missed and I'll take great pleasure in loading him.

It was pretty warm yesterday and the forecast is for HOT this week. So we moved the cows and calves into the corral yesterday afternoon. I went out this morning at feeding time and they're all very content in the shade and the fans running. A couple very polite ones even came over to me to say thanks!

Moved the cattle out to pasture this morning after feeding. Everyone was thrilled to get out to the fresh grass and running a bit free except this knucklehead. He stayed in the open corral with both gates open bellering and bawling. I finally had to chase him around the corral until he FINALLY got it through his thick skull he was supposed to be with the herd. Why is it always the males that are the last to catch on? Smh
