In 2012 we had numerous family, friends and neighbors asking if they could have some vegetables from our family garden but it just wasn't big enough to support everyone. So in 2012 we all decided to increase our garden size to 1 full acre. Spring of 2013 came around and we had so much we decided to sell some to our friends and by word of mouth. We own 45 acres and in the past simply harvested hay,
or let the acreage sit unattended. This next spring, 2014, we will be expanding by another full acre and intend on doing so for the next several years to come. Our long term goals are to have fresh berries, vegetables, fruits and nuts to supply to our amazing and close nit community. In 2012 we also introduced chickens to our farm as a means of mainly pest control and eventual egg production. We are planning on going completely organic with our own in house compost too! We will not be using any commercialized fertilizers or pesticides on our produce. We plan on working with several organizations in the near future to assist them in helping families in need in the upcoming years. This is one of our main goals, but also not forgetting to help people secure a healthy and locally grown product.
