We have 4 dozen eggs that need to go asap in Eureka! Let me know if you want them! We have another 5-6 dozen heading there from the farm on Monday as well. We also have another 13 hens currently growing up to add to production so we don’t have the winter stall out. We also have two emu eggs available and they also need to go. These emu eggs are the last for the season and we won’t have more til this winter.

Chickens are hilarious. There are 8 nest boxes, 7 if you don’t count the one missing the red porch. 4 hens are currently laying with 3 more pacing around waiting for them to be out of the way instead of using the nest boxes on top. 😂

One step closer to the finish line! 🥰

🚨 HB 1855 (Alpha-Gal Syndrome Reporting) has passed the Senate Committee on Families, Seniors, and Health 5–0.

This is a major step forward, but we have more work to do with LESS THAN TWO WEEKS left in session!

And it is especially fitting that this progress comes as we begin May, which Missouri designated last session as Alpha-Gal Syndrome Awareness Month. Awareness matters, but awareness should also lead to action.

For too long, Missouri families dealing with Alpha-Gal Syndrome have been left trying to navigate this issue without the kind of reliable statewide data we need. We know Alpha-Gal is impacting families across Missouri, especially here in southern Missouri, but without consistent reporting, the state cannot fully understand how widespread it is, where cases are increasing, or what resources may be needed.

HB 1855 is important because it gives Missouri a foundation to build from.

This bill does not solve every challenge facing Alpha-Gal families overnight, but it creates the basic public health data structure needed to take the issue seriously. Better data helps inform doctors, public health officials, schools, families, researchers, and policymakers. It also helps Missouri make better decisions instead of guessing in the dark.

The next step is getting HB 1855 placed on the Missouri Senate Calendar so it can be heard on the Senate floor.

That means the time to call and email your Missouri Senators is now if you have not already reached out.

And if you have already contacted them, now is the time to do it again.

Please respectfully ask them to support HB 1855 as drafted and help bring it across the finish line.

Missouri families dealing with Alpha-Gal deserve to be seen, counted, and taken seriously. Patients want this!!

Let’s keep pushing. Please share this post on your personal page, with your friends and family, and across all AGS related pages. Thank you!

Our friend Jeff at Alpacas of Troy/Brats of the World has reached out to us and let us know he has half and whole hogs available if anyone is looking to stock their freezer! He’s wonderful to work with and makes some AMAZING dishes that he sells as well. He is also present at many farmers markets around the area including the Point Labadie Brewery Farmers Market! Reach out to him directly if you’re interested in some fantastic pork!

We have chicken eggs back in stock. For availability, please go to our website and place a pickup order there. It helps us out greatly in keeping track of stock and not overselling. Just put into the notes section at checkout when you’d like to pick up your eggs and at which location - Eureka or the farm. Thank you!
