Ever had Pineau d'Aunis?

Guessing this is a first for most of you. Pineau d'Aunis is a grape first written about in 1100 AD, but it’s precise origins are unknown. The name may make you think it’s related to Pinot Noir - but it isn’t. Sometimes it’s referred to as Chenin Noir- also no genetic relation to Chenin Blanc. This grape grows almost entirely around the towns of Chinon, Saumur, Anjou & Touraine in the Loire Valley of France.

It’s a thin skin variety that typically has hallmark white pepper, light in color, medium body and persistent finish. The w**ery was founded in 1997, Benoît Brazilier is the 7th generation of w**emakers in his family. Pairing with salami & cheese, thai food or kebab

This beauty was part of the May W**e Club selection and our members have been reporting back how much they enjoyed this one 😀
