In 2023 two men left a mark….a skid mark. It’s crazy work to poo in a woman’s home you’ve only ever seen fully clothed. Instead of telling the story, here is the text exchange with my friend via song. Plus the Chocolate Covered Strawberry Galette recipe below.
Easy Chocolate Covered Strawberry Galette with a chocolate ganache. A solid dessert. Not as solid as what this man was doing in my restroom.

INGREDIENTS
Puff Pastry
vanilla ice cream
1 egg
MACERATED STRAWBERRIES
2 ½ cups strawberries, hulled and sliced in half
3 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tbsp vanilla extract or paste
2 tsp cornstarch
½ cup milk chocolate chips
CHOCOLATE GANACHE
8 oz 60% semisweet
Small handful of milk chocolate chips �1 cup heavy whipping cream
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 365 F
Prepare baking sheet with baking sheet.
MACERATE THE STRAWBERRIES
In bowl, add strawberries, sugar, and vanilla. Stir to combine and allow sugar to dissolve and fruit soften.
Drain syrup (important!) �Sprinkle cornstarch over strawberries. mix. Add chocolate chips. Place in fridge until ready to use.
GALETTE
Spread pie crust out onto your prepared baking sheet. �Sprinkle strawberry/chocolate mixture in the center of l pie dough, pat it down a bit, leave a 2-inch border of pie dough. �Fold birder over the mixture. The center of the galette should remain open with fruit exposed. Brush edges with egg and sprinkle with sugar.�Place in the oven. bake until edges of the galette are golden brown, about 25-30 min.�Remove galette from oven. allow to cool, about 5 min. Slice and serve with vanilla ice cream and ganache if desired.
CHOCOLATE GANACHE
As galette bakes, pour cream into small saucepan and heat over medium/low until cream comes to a simmer.
Remove from heat, break up chocolate and add the chips.
Whisk gently until chocolate and cream are completely melted and smooth. Try not to whisk too vigorously to avoid air bubbles.
If ganache is too thin, let it sit for several minutes before using. Drizzle on top of your galette.
