I started baking as a labor of love for family and friends. And then family of friends and friends of family and... well, you see where this is going. I never really liked cake all that much because it seemed like they were always the same - some variation of yellow or brown, frosting that left my tongue coated with some sort of film, and a little fruit... if you were lucky! oy's birthday cake from one of Chicago's favorite old fashioned bakeries years ago was enough to make me swear I'd never buy a cake again. I make sure the sweet things that come out of my oven are just like me: amazing, unpredictable, and always an adventure! I love experimenting with flavors and textures. I like show-stoppers, cakes that make your jaw drop and your mouth water, cupcakes so sinful you forget all the rules, cakepop flavors that make you feel like a little kid again and make the kids remind you that one is never enough!
