🥩 Two Moore Acres 2025 Meat Info 🥩

We’ve been asked a few times, so if you were wondering, the answer is yes! We’re still raising steaks and makin’ bacon over here! However, this is a transitional year in our program, which means we will not have as much available this year as we have in past years. I normally schedule butcher dates a year in advance and have broad availability but this year I will ONLY be scheduling pre-sold* portions so we can plan out what to keep for the year.

‼️ If you are wanting beef or pork from us this year, I need to know ASAP how much you want (beef: whole, half, or quarter; pork: whole or half) and roughly when you want it (beef can be year round as soon as February/March; pork is fall only)‼️

If you’ve already told me you want on my list this year, I *should* already have you down, but I’m a human with three small children so it won’t hurt my feelings if you want to double check or remind me 😉

This page may not be the most active by any stretch of the imagination, but the farm it represents most certainly is. While gathering records for our taxes, I realized that we stocked the freezers of 56 families in 2022. FIFTY SIX! I know some of those purchases were subsequently split or shared or gifted, and we also had an additional customer purchase anonymously to stock their local food bank, so it is likely that last year alone 60-75+ families ate beef or pork that we raised with our own hands. Seeing that on paper is just mind blowing! We are proud, we are humbled, we are grateful. If you have ever supported our little family farm by purchasing meat, eggs, or honey or by sending your friends or family our way, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

🥩 BEEF AVAILABILITY UPDATE 🥩

We only have half a beef (or two quarters) remaining from our spring 2022 stock! Meat will be ready for pickup around the weekend of 5/21. That means it’s not too late to put Two Moore Acres steaks and burgers on your menu for your Memorial Day cookout and every summer get together after that!

Two weeks too short notice? Don’t worry, there’s still time to stock your freezer! We still have one beef available for an early July pickup, as well as five available in September and an additional four in November.

In other news, HOW CUTE IS SUGAR’S NEW HEIFER CALF? She looks just like her daddy Peanut, down to the white feet and left eye patch, but those nose freckles are all hers, and she’s already a stout little thing at 4 weeks old. You’re not likely to see her making any trips to the butcher as we’ve already decided she’s probably going to join our mama stock in a couple years. The very tip of her tail is white, so like this post if you think we should call her Dipstick, or love it if you think she’s more of a Frida Cowlo, and share it with anyone who could use a full freezer!

We have a very limited amount of beef scheduled for harvest in May and June, available to purchase by the whole, half, or quarter. If you would like to stock your freezer let us know as soon as possible, because these portions will not last long!
