Unlike the sweet and light characteristics of commercial makgeolli, Hana brews check you back into the raw reality of what makgeolli should and continue to be. The flavor profile consists of deep grain flavors and a strong, lasting punch of alcohol. Hana is my Korean name. Hana Makgeolli is

a reflection of my understanding and appreciation of a drink that scented my childhood, accented family dinner tables, and shaped my tongue.

The first Rice Wine Fair 🌾 brought together 11 rice wine producers under one roof in Brooklyn. Sool, sake, sato, ta pai, xiao mi jiu, qinghong. Different traditions, same commitment to bridge old and new ✨

we’ve been so excited to bring back some warm weather favorites and add a few new things to the menu for spring. cold spicy bibimguksu, a tingly mala chicken salad, and our hwachae cocktail with watermelon and Takju 16 are all pouring now.

if you’ve been meaning to visit, this is such a beautiful weekend to stop by. come spend a slow afternoon with us, share a few dishes, and drink some fresh makgeolli together ❤️

Come get a rare and early glimpse into the early oughts of the American rice wine movement. Rare pours, pre-market tastings, and bottles you won’t find anywhere else 👀

General Admission (7pm): Free tastings from all producers.
