Yeah, of course I think you should but let me tell you these burger patties we got from our friends at Frosty Bunk Beef were absolute perfection on our homemade buns.

I get asked often if we'll ever raise our own beef or other livestock for meat. I can’t say never, but here’s the thing about homesteading I wish I knew sooner. It was never meant to be about total self-sufficiency. It was about community.

Homesteading isn't doing everything yourself. It's doing what you do well and supporting others who do what they do well. It's sharing, trading, bartering, and building relationships with the people around you.

Many homesteaders burn out trying to be everything to everyone and do everything themselves. I'm no stranger to that feeling. Thankfully, my husband is quick to remind me to “stay in my lane” and focus on the things God has called our family to steward well.

For now, we'll keep raising chickens, baking bread, gathering eggs, and gladly supporting local families who create incredible products. That's what this community is all about.

Mary and I are raffling off a Quarter Beef of our tender, nutrient dense beef! The tickets are $35 and you can buy as many as you like but we are only selling 40 tickets total. This will be roughly 130 lbs of Beef!!
