🍇 THE GRAPES HAVE COMPLETELY LOST THEIR MINDS. 🍇

Apparently moderation is not a concept our Concord grapes are familiar with this year. 😂

They are INSANE — vines absolutely dripping with gorgeous clusters, and we’re thinking they’re about a week or two away from being ripe and ready to make their grand entrance into the farmstand.

And then there are the Niagara grapes. 💚🤍

Beautiful white grapes, sweet and lovely… and apparently just as competitive as the Concords. They took one look across the vineyard and said, “Oh, we’re doing abundance this year? Hold my grape.” 😂🍇

We cannot WAIT to start sharing them with you!

🍎 AND YES… THERE ARE APPLES. 🍎

Before anyone starts asking where the other 47 varieties are — IT IS STILL EARLY FOR APPLES, PEOPLE. 😂

Mother Nature runs this show. We just work here.

Right now you’ll find:

🍎 Gala — sweet, crisp and always a solid little overachiever.
🍎 Honeycrisp — because apparently she requires no introduction.
💛 Golden Delicious — eat it, bake it, sauce it… she’s good at everything.
🍏 Ginger Gold — a little sweet, a little spice and one of our absolute favorites for applesauce.

And more varieties will wander into the farmstand as they decide they are darn good and ready. 🍎✨

Plus, of course, there are Circles of Love 🍩, farm goodies, flowers to cut, animals to visit and all the other little bits of YA YA magic.

No, that is NOT a typo. 😂

We’re farmers. By 7:30 we’ve already been awake long enough to have lived an entire day.

So grab your coffee, come enjoy that glorious cool morning air, and wander the farm before the rest of the world figures out it’s awake. ☕️🌅

🍇 Grapes are coming.

🚨🎤 BREAKING NEWS FROM YA YA FARM & ORCHARD 🎤🚨

THE GREAT “NO PETS” INVESTIGATION

🎤 CALVIN:
“Good evening. For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Calvin — the most handsome black Lab in Colorado, Senior Correspondent for YA YA News, Head of Farm Security, occasional blackjack enthusiast and, according to management, a dog with ‘questionable recreational habits.’

That last part is neither here nor there.

I’m reporting LIVE from YA YA Farm & Orchard, where apparently there is still some confusion surrounding our NO PETS policy.

It’s on the website.

It’s posted at the farm.

There are signs at the entrance.

Management is running out of places to put it.

We looked into skywriting, but apparently that’s cost prohibitive.

So tonight, I’ve been asked to investigate.

And before anyone asks…

Yes, your pet may be wonderful.

Yes, your pet may be friendly.

Yes, your pet may have graduated at the top of its obedience class.

It still can’t come.

And apparently I need to clarify one more thing:

When we say NO PETS, we don’t just mean dogs.

Someone actually brought a…

CAT. ON. A. LEASH.

We’ll be speaking with Ruby Grace about that shortly.

Legal has asked her not to comment until we’re live.”

🐾 RUBY GRACE:
“Calvin, are you smoking a cigar?”

🎤 CALVIN:
“Ruby. We’ve been live for 37 seconds.”

🐾 RUBY GRACE:
“I’m just asking.”

🎤 CALVIN:
“And I’m just reporting the news. Moving on.

Ruby Grace, as the self-appointed Director of Guest Relations, what can you tell us?”

🐾 RUBY GRACE:
“This is OUR home, Calvin. We LOVE our human visitors. I personally greet as many as possible. Children. Grandmas. Nice people with snacks. All welcome.”

🎤 CALVIN:
“But outside pets?”

🐾 RUBY GRACE:
“No.”

🎤 CALVIN:
“And again, we aren’t just talking about dogs.”

🐾 RUBY GRACE:
“Correct. NO PETS means ALL PETS.”

🎤 CALVIN:
“Which brings us back to the incident involving…”

🐾 RUBY GRACE:
“A CAT.”

🎤 CALVIN:
“On a leash.”

🐾 RUBY GRACE:
“ON. A. LEASH.”

🎤 CALVIN:
“Ruby, what would happen if you encountered a cat casually strolling through your farm?”

🐾 RUBY GRACE:
“My attorney has advised me not to answer that question.”

🎤 CALVIN:
“Probably wise.

Crystal, let’s bring you into the conversation. Why can’t someone simply bring their very friendly pet onto the farm?”

🐴 CRYSTAL:
“Calvin. I weigh 2,000 pounds.”

🎤 CALVIN:
“Noted.”

🐴 CRYSTAL:
“A startled 2,000-pound horse + a strange pet = PHYSICS LESSON.”

🎤 CALVIN:
“And nobody wants an unexpected science class during their orchard visit.”

🐴 CRYSTAL:
“Exactly.”

🎤 CALVIN:
“Dolly and Dude, you’ve had some experiences yourselves.”

🫏 DOLLY:
“We’ve been barked at.”

🫏 DUDE:
“Chased along our fence.”

🫏 DOLLY:
“Lunged at.”

🫏 DUDE:
“And then someone inevitably says…”

🫏 DOLLY & DUDE:
‘DON’T WORRY! HE’S FRIENDLY!’

🫏 DUDE:
“Respectfully… that doesn’t change anything.”

🎤 CALVIN:
“So you don’t like visitors?”

🫏 DUDE:
“Oh, we LOVE visitors. Come see us. Talk to us. Admire the ears.”

🫏 DOLLY:
“Buy farmstand donkey cookies.”

🫏 DUDE:
“Definitely buy the cookies. Humans are welcome. We simply don’t need them bringing another animal into OUR home.”

🫏 DOLLY:
“We don’t show up at your house with a random donkey.”

🫏 DUDE:
“Although she would.”

🫏 DOLLY:
“I absolutely would.”

🎤 CALVIN:
“Fair enough.”

🫏 DUDE:
“Calvin, aren’t YOU the dog who sits around smoking ci**rs while playing blackjack?”

🎤 CALVIN:
“My recreational activities are not relevant to this investigation.”

🫏 DOLLY:
“You’re literally smoking one right now.”

🎤 CALVIN:
“Moving on.”

🦚 FRECKLES, OFF CAMERA:
“EXCUSE US.”

🎤 CALVIN:
“Apparently the fashion department would like to make a statement.”

🦚 FRECKLES:
“This farm is OUR RUNWAY.”

🦚 THE PEACOCK LADIES:
“Obviously.”

🦚 FRECKLES:
“We have spent an unreasonable amount of time perfecting the strut, the wardrobe and the dramatic entrance.”

🦚 THE LADIES:
“It takes work to look this effortless.”

🦚 FRECKLES:
“We cannot possibly be expected to perform while random visiting animals are barking at the models.”

🎤 CALVIN:
“So you support the No Pets policy?”

🦚 FRECKLES:
“We support anything that keeps unauthorized personnel off the runway.”

🐾 RUBY GRACE:
“Especially cats.”

🦚 FRECKLES:
“ABSOLUTELY NO CATS ON THE RUNWAY.”

🎤 CALVIN:
“Thank you, Freckles.”

🦚 FRECKLES:
“One more thing.”

🎤 CALVIN:
“Yes?”

🦚 FRECKLES:
“Are we addressing the No Smoking policy?”

🎤 CALVIN:
“No.”

🦚 FRECKLES:
“Because there appears to be a smoking dog standing on my runway.”

🎤 CALVIN:
“This interview is deteriorating rapidly.”

🐾 RUBY GRACE:
“Calvin. Put the cigar down.”

🎤 CALVIN:
“I’m a journalist.”

🐾 RUBY GRACE:
“You’re a Labrador at a blackjack table.”

🦚 FRECKLES:
“ON MY RUNWAY.”

🎤 CALVIN:
“Can we PLEASE return to the investigation?”

🐴 CRYSTAL:
“Gladly.”

🎤 CALVIN:
“Here are the facts.

This is a working farm. The animals you visit here aren’t props. This is their home.

Outside animals can frighten or provoke the animals who live here. They can introduce disease and parasites. And management carries the liability if an interaction between animals — or a frightened 2,000-pound horse — goes badly.”

🐴 CRYSTAL:
“Physics.”

🎤 CALVIN:
“Yes, Crystal. Physics.

Our No Pets policy is posted on our website, at the farm and at the entrance.

It isn’t because we don’t love animals.

Quite the opposite.

We love them enough to protect the ones who call this place HOME.

And we LOVE having YOU visit. ❤️

We simply ask that your four-legged family members enjoy a nice afternoon at home while you come visit ours.”

🐾 RUBY GRACE:
“Even if they’re friendly.”

🫏 DUDE:
“Even if they’re REALLY friendly.”

🐴 CRYSTAL:
“Even if they’ve never done anything wrong in their entire life.”

🦚 FRECKLES:
“Still can’t come.”

🐾 RUBY GRACE:
“And neither can the cat.”

🎤 CALVIN:
“There you have it.

Please respect our animals, our staff, our home and our policy.

Calvin — the most handsome black Lab in Colorado — reporting live from YA YA Farm & Orchard…”

🐾 RUBY GRACE:
“Calvin.”

🎤 CALVIN:
“What?”

🐾 RUBY GRACE:
“Put. The. Cigar. Down.”

🦚 FRECKLES:
“And get off my runway.”

🎤 CALVIN:
“YA YA News… OUT.”

🚭 NO SMOKING

💜 TINY PLUM. BIG ATTITUDE. 💜

We have had PURE JOY the past few days harvesting our Damson Plums — and ohhhh, these little beauties are something special.

Damsons are a tiny old-fashioned Italian plum with a whole lotta sass. 😏💜 Bite into one expecting sweet little plum innocence and… PUCKER UP, BUTTERCUP. 😂

But THAT is exactly what makes them so magical.

Damsons are a baker’s dream — intensely flavored, beautifully tart and naturally super high in pectin, which makes them absolutely glorious for jams, preserves, sauces, tarts, pies and all those wonderful old recipes that start with “First, find Damson plums…”

Well… FOUND THEM. 🙋‍♀️💜

They’re increasingly hard to find, highly sought after, and we only have them for a very short little window.

So dig out that recipe you’ve always wanted to try, call Grandma and ask where she hid her recipe box, or head down the Google rabbit hole and give these sassy little plums a whirl.

This weekend at the farmstand:

💜 Damson Plums — while they last!
🍎 Gala
🍏 Mutsu
🍏 Golden Delicious
🍏 Ginger Gold
🍎 Honeycrisp

Basically, the farmstand is starting to look suspiciously like fall… and we are NOT mad about it. 🍂🍎

🌈🌕✨ Well… Mother Nature was SHOWING OFF last night.

I swear, every time I looked away for a minute, I’d look back and she had pulled another trick out of her hat.

First came the most brilliant rainbow… from what felt like approximately four drops of rain. 😂🌈

Then the moon started rising — huge, glowing and absolutely gorgeous — looking like she was auditioning early for the Harvest Moon. 🌕✨

And THEN… the eclipse.

Rainbow.
Magical moonrise.
Eclipse.

The trifecta. 🙌

Apparently Mother Nature had a full production planned and forgot to send out invitations.

Well done, ma’am. 👏👏👏

I’m still sitting here this morning a little in awe of the whole thing. Sometimes you just have to stop what you’re doing, look up, and appreciate how unbelievably beautiful this world can be. ❤️

Last night was definitely one of those nights.

🎶 And I think to myself… what a wonderful world. 🎶

🐔🎤 LIVE FROM THE YA YA CHICKEN COOP…

I walked into the coop this morning carrying breakfast and apparently interrupted the Chicken Coop Hair Awards.

There, strutting down the red carpet, were Freddie Mercury and Rod Stewart — or at least their feathered counterparts — comparing their magnificent little mohawks and each absolutely convinced they had the best hairdo in the coop.

It was going out for a popular vote.
There were opinions.
There was strutting.
There may have been some questionable judging. 😂

And THEN…

Down the red carpet came her.

Six weeks old.
Confident.
Completely unbothered.
And… NAKED. 😳🐔

Before anyone calls Chicken Protective Services — no, the other girls did NOT pluck her bald.

She is, in fact, a Naked Neck chicken, also called a Turken. And these funny-looking little ladies are known for being incredibly sweet hens and fantastic egg layers.

But apparently nobody told this girl she was supposed to be embarrassed about that bare neck.

Quite the opposite.

She strutted straight through the coop like:

“NECKLACES, PEOPLE. I NEED NECKLACES. You don’t hide a neck like this.” 💅😂

Honestly, the confidence is inspiring.

🍎🍏 Meanwhile, outside the chicken fashion world… FALL IS TRYING TO HAPPEN!

It may still be a little toasty, but the farmstand is absolutely spilling over with APPLE LOVE.

This week you’ll find:

🍏 Ginger Gold
🍏 Mutsu — aka Crispin, aka that fabulous green-Jolly-Rancher-ish apple we love
🍏 Golden Delicious
🍎 Gala
🍎 Honeycrisp

Crunch them.
Sauce them.
Bake them.
Turn them into something ridiculously complicated that destroys your kitchen.

You choose your own apple adventure. 🍎❤️

And while you’re here, feel free to cast your vote for Best Hair in the Chicken Coop.

Although Naked Neck Girl would like it officially noted that hair is highly overrated.

🍎🥁 STOP SCROLLING—THE WEEKEND’S FRESHEST APPLE LINEUP JUST ROLLED INTO THE FARMSTAND! 🥁🍎

Your mission, should you choose to accept it: come hungry, leave with apples, peaches, plums, flowers, a Circle of Love and at least one story about how cute the farm animals are. 😂

Here’s who’s ready to meet you:

🍏 Mutsu aka Crispin — basically a green Jolly Rancher growing on a tree. Crunchy, juicy, sweet-tart magic. Take a bite and prepare to understand the hype. If you know, you KNOW.

🍏 Ginger Gold — one of the BEST saucing apples around, plus a mighty fine little eater if you like your apples with a bit of spice. Hello, Ginger. 💃

🍎 Honeycrisp — well… yes. You know. This celebrity needs no introduction. 😂

🍏 Golden Delicious — the name handled the marketing for us. Eat it. Bake it. Sauce it. Delicious.

🍎 Gala — the dependable little overachiever: balanced, easy snacking and MAN OH MAN does this apple make some fabulous juice.

🍑 PEACHES — yep… the last of the season. 😭 Come claim yours while they’re still hanging around the party!

💜 Ruby King Plums — still showing off! Not too sweet. Not too tart. Just riiiiight. Goldilocks would approve.

And because fruit is only the beginning around here…

🍩 Circles of Love
🌸 Beautiful flowers waiting to be cut
🐴🫏 Farm animals waiting to be admired, adored and told how ridiculously cute they are

So grab your people and come make a farmstand day of it: pick some flowers, stock up on fruit, enjoy a Circle of Love and give the animals the compliments they clearly deserve. Then grab another Circle of Love because… farm math. 🍩😂

One little farm PSA from the four-legged residents:

🐾 Please leave your pets at home. We love that you love them. Truly. But this is already home to a whole crew of farm animals (and resident dogs!) who prefer not to have surprise furry visitors. ❤️

SATURDAY + SUNDAY | 9–4

Come early, come hungry and come ready to taste the season before it disappears. 🍎🌻 See you at YA YA—where the apples are crisp, the peaches are precious and farm math always adds up! 🌻🍎

🍏✨ ONCE UPON A TIME… IN AN ORCHARD NOT SO FAR AWAY… ✨🍏

There was born the most glorious green apple in all the land.

Some called it Mutsu.
Others called it Crispin.

We’re not entirely sure why it needed two names. Perhaps one is its royal name. 👑🍏

Legend has it that the folks at Jolly Rancher once tasted this magical apple and said, “Well, shoot. THAT should be the green one.” 😂

Okay… we cannot confirm this legend. But bite into a Mutsu and tell us you don’t taste a Green Apple Jolly Rancher. YOU DO.

Mutsu is gloriously dense, crisp, crunchy, juicy, sweet-tart and downright magical. And, as if by fairy-tale design, it begins ripening just as school starts.

Coincidence? We think not.

Clearly Mother Nature created the Mutsu specifically for lunch boxes. 🍎📚 It’s just the right size, just the right crunch, and frankly… the size a real apple ought to be.

And so, dear villagers, the Mutsu has officially arrived at the YA YA Farmstand. 🏰🍏✨

You’ll also find Ginger Golds, Galas, delicious Ruby King plums and all sorts of other farmstand magic waiting to be discovered.

Come fill your basket before the kingdom eats them all. 👑

It’s going to be one of those beautiful, cool almost-fall weekends at the orchard… and we are HERE for it! 🍎🍂

The farmstand is filling up with all kinds of late-summer goodness:

🍑 Peaches — until we run out!
🍐 Pears
🍏 Ginger Gold & Gala apples — and possibly a few other varieties if they decide to cooperate 😉
🍩 Our Circles of Love — apple cider donuts! Because a cool almost-fall weekend simply requires a warm little circle of apple-cinnamon happiness. ❤️
🍯 Honey — our honey bees have been going absolutely crazy this year, working hard and making something pretty darn magical.
🌻 Sunflowers — big, beautiful and basically begging you to take them home. Dolly agrees… although her preferred method is apparently to EAT them. 😂🐴🌻

And then there are the Concord grapes… 💜🍇 They are JUST starting to get their color and holy grapes, Batman — there are SO MANY this year! The vines are absolutely loaded. Stay tuned because grape season is coming!

Come bring your picnic, grab some fruit from the farm stand, say hello to the animals, take home some sunshine and soak up a little almost-fall magic with us. 🍎🌻🍇

What is the tiniest thing in your world today that fills you with awe? ✨

I’ve come to notice that in my everyday moments around the orchard, it’s often the smallest things that bring me the most joy.

For the past week or so, I’ve been completely delighted by the tiniest tomatoes I have EVER seen — spoon tomatoes. 🍅 They’re so teeny you could almost miss them. Perfect little shapes, beautiful color…and then you pop that tiny baby in your mouth and somehow it has the BEST crunch, pop and biggest tomato flavor ever. How does something so tiny pack in so much?! They are incredible.

And then, while mowing the other day, I spotted three beautiful apples growing right out of the trunk of a tree. 🍎 Tucked away. Almost hidden. Perfectly protected from the weather and the world.

It stopped me for a minute.

Oh, nature…your perfection, your creativity, your tiny surprises hidden in plain sight. 🌿

You make me smile.

Sometimes the biggest joy really does come in the tiniest packages. ❤️

So tell me…what tiny little thing are you in awe of today?
