Pasture Raised Pork
We charge $3.00 times the live weight of the animal, the butcher charges $.75 times the hanging weight plus a flat rate fee of $25 for a half and $50 for a whole pig.
The live weight of our pigs usually range from 190 pounds to 250 pounds. A 200 pound pig would cost $600 + approx. $200 in butchering fees for fresh cuts. The butcher can also make pork sausages, cure hams and bacon for an extra fee.
Once we harvest your animal you will call Innovative Foods to arrange packaging and cut specifications i.e. chop thickness, if you would like your ground meat in 1 or 2 pound packages, etc.
There is a non-refundable deposit of $150 for 1/2 a pig and $200 for a whole pig due at the time your order, the remainder will be invoiced when we take your animal to the butcher.

Dear Family and Friends,
Hello from Frog Belly Farm. I know many of you have not heard from us in a long while. The devastating fire in February of 2017 changed everything, however, many blessings have come from the loss. We are much smaller now and focus on raising delicious pasture raised pork. We will be harvesting some of our pigs on December 4th.
Help us spread the word by sharing this with family and friends who might be interested.

Frog Belly Farm is selling 5 of our top-quality does in milk and 1 doe who is not in milk. We would love to hold on to these ladies, but to maintain our herd size, we have to let them go in order to keep some of the young from this year.
Rue: 5 years old, saanen, wonderful sweet personality, well-trained and great milk production
Jewel: 4 years old, nubian, also has a sweet personality and great milk production
Vanilla Bean: 2 years old, nubian from a top line - very friendly
Oreo: 2 years old, nubian from a top line - very friendly
Razzle: 2 years old, very sweet nubian
Citrine: 3 years old, nubian, extremely sweet - would make a great pet or companion animal. Citrine is the only doe not in milk as she was not bred this year.
Goats have been very well cared for - handled gently and raised on organic alfalfa and pasture. They are all trained and could be hand milked.
All does are in milk now!
It would be lovely for Vanilla Bean and Oreo to go to a home together.
We also have three lovely little does with big personality who were born this year, looking for a great home.
Please write to [email protected] with inquiries.

Join us at Frog Belly Farm for a butchering workshop!

Our butchering workshop last season was a great success.
If you missed it last year, want a refresher course, or if you've ever wanted to learn the art of butchering, here is your chance!
Join us for a meatsmith workshop here at Frog Belly Farm on Sunday,
September 7th.

For more information, please contact Heather at [email protected]. Please don't respond via Facebook. :)

You will have the chance to butcher a goat, taking it from the whole animal, all the way to the cuts of meat for your culinary creativity.

We will have some tools but not many, so please bring what you can. The cost for this day-long workshop is $150 which includes taking home goat meat (½ a goat). Lunch will be pot luck.
We’ll start the slaughter and skinning at 9am. You are welcome to participate in this process with me, or you are welcome to arrive at 11am and start the butchering process from the fresh quarters led by
Mark Carlson, who will be teaching us the breakdown. He led a great workshop with us last year.
We should be wrapping up by 4pm I think!
I’m really excited about this opportunity and hope to see you there!
If you’d like to reserve a spot, please email me right away to confirm and send a check for the workshop to: Frog Belly Farm 5255 Rogers Rd, Longmont, CO 80503.

Blessings,
Heather
