Six Friends. $50. Nobody’s Getting the “Cheap Stuff.” 🍻

You invited six friends over. Very social of you. Now apparently they expect something to drink. 🙄🍻

🍺 Odell Colorado Pilsner — A Colorado favorite for the b**r crowd. You don’t need to give a speech about hops. Just hand them a b**r.

🍷 Trivento Reserve Malbec — Red w**e from Argentina for the friend who says, “I’m more of a w**e person.” We know, Susan.

🥃 Tip Top Old Fashioned — Wh***ey, sugar, bitters. Simple ingredients, a proper cocktail, and zero reason to spend your evening playing bartender. These little cans pack a punch—pour over ice and sip. Tip Top has plenty of other cocktail options, too.

Three Fall W**es. One Very French Accent. 🍷🇫🇷

Matej picked three w**es for fall and apparently auditioned for a French film while he was at it. Sound on. His pronunciation deserves an audience. 😂🍷

🌸 Château La Mascaronne Rosé
Yes, rosé. In fall. Because a leaf hitting the ground does not legally require you to stop drinking pink w**e. A rosé for all seasons—and people who don’t let a decorative gourd dictate their choices.

🍷 G.D. Vajra Langhe Nebbiolo “Claré J.C.”
A lighter, fresher take on Nebbiolo. For those fall afternoons when you’ve committed to a sweater, but Colorado has committed to 78 degrees. Italian w**e. Matej’s accent may need a moment to switch countries.

🍂 E. Guigal Côtes du Rhône Rouge
Red berries, spice, and a full, elegant finish. Bring it to dinner and look like you put some thought into the evening. We’ll keep your secret.

Matej Saw One Leaf Fall. It’s Bourbon Season. 🍂🥃

One leaf hit the ground and Matej immediately declared bourbon season. No sweater required. Apparently, that’s just how the calendar works at PJ’s.

Bourbon season is here. Head to the mountains, take 47 photos of the same aspen grove, and say “the colors are unreal” at least six times.

Matej thinks this is DELICIOUS. And frankly… we’re starting to think pickle b**r is going to be a thing. 🥒🍺

This is DESTIHL SuckerPunch Dill Pickle Sour — a tart Gose brewed with actual SuckerPunch pickle brine. Think citrusy sour b**r meets salty, garlicky, dill-pickle goodness.

Sounds weird? Absolutely.

Is it weirdly refreshing? Also absolutely.

People who dig this b**r talk about the crisp, dry finish, tart lemon, salty pickle brine and just enough garlic and dill to make you immediately go back for another sip.

Matej tried it. Matej approves. Now you have to decide whether you're pickle-b**r curious.

Your Party Bottle Called. It Wants Some Taste. 🥂

Another party. Another dinner. Another last-minute stop where you stare at a wall of w**e and eventually grab the bottle with the nicest label.

We can do better.

Meet Moillard Bourgogne Chardonnay Tradition — Chardonnay from Burgundy, France. Or, as Matej likes to put it, the OG Chardonnay.

Burgundy is one of the places that made Chardonnay famous, and this is a great introduction to what French Chardonnay can be: fresh, elegant and balanced rather than a giant glass of oak and butter.

Moillard has been making w**e in Burgundy since 1850, so they’ve had a little time to figure this out.

The w**e is 100% Chardonnay with notes of citrus and white flowers, a little almond and toast, and a fresh, lightly mineral finish. Aging in previously used oak barrels adds some roundness without turning the w**e into a lumberyard.

Translation: it tastes like Chardonnay, not a two-by-four.

It’s also incredibly easy to put on the table. Try it with:

🐟 Fish or seafood
🍗 Roast chicken or creamy chicken dishes
🧀 Goat cheese, Gruyère or other firm cheeses
🥖 Or simply a baguette, some cheese and the realization that you accidentally look sophisticated.

And yes — it’s a very good bottle to show up with when someone tells you, “Just bring w**e.”

Weller Special Reserve: a little history, a lot of bourbon. 🥃

Back in 1849, William Larue Weller started building his wh***ey business in Kentucky. His signature move was using wheat in place of rye, giving his bourbon a softer, smoother character. “Pappy” Van Winkle later worked as a salesman for Weller. Bourbon people, you may now nod knowingly.

It’s easy to see why Special Reserve became a favorite. There’s caramel on the nose, honey and butterscotch in the glass, and a gentle finish. Sip it neat, add a little ice, or make a cocktail. No tasting notebook or dramatic pause required.
