Well folks, It is with very bittersweet emotions that after 20 amazing years living out my childhood dream here at Briar Gate Farm, Brian and I have decided it's time to simplify and do something new. Our farm is officially for sale.
We're down to just 6 goats, 1 horse, 1 donkey, 8 chickens and 1 cat and all the animals will move to good local homes where we will keep an eye on them and stay involved in their care (except the cat - she's coming with us)! The cheesemaking school will also continue on at a new location (or more than one!) so stay tuned for that info later.
We plan to downsize to a simple house in Longmont which will be our home base for the foreseeable future as I continue to care for my elderly mom and enjoy my daughters and friends here. But we are also planning to travel and "scout" potential new locations for a possible bigger move, most likely abroad, when the time is right.
