13/15 Very Good Chicken Fried Steak - Texas Certified CFS Inspector - Bryan Todd and I went to Daniel Boones in Tyler and had very good Chicken Fried Steak. Not perfect but above average to be sure.

I don't know how many years ago (over 31) My sweet MIL Gloria Atkinson took me (and my future wife) to Dirty's Restaurant 1710 Durham Dr Houston, TX 77007 and we had the chicken fried steak. It was the size of a hubcap and left a lasting impression on me. I haven't been able to find pictures of the place but as I recall it had newspaper everywhere and hanging down from the ceiling as well so it was a very unique place.

If anyone has pictures of this place I'd love to see them.
