2024 Left Coast White Pinot Noir
Yes, you read that right. This is a white wine made entirely from Pinot Noir grapes.
Left Coast Estate in Oregon’s Willamette Valley pioneered this style back in 2011. They crush the fruit ice cold to keep color from the skins, then ferment and age it in stainless steel. The result is a soft gold wine that carries the body and complexity of Pinot Noir with the brightness and lift of a white.
Expect aromas of honeysuckle, ripe pear, and shortbread. The palate is rich and round with flavors of dried apricot, peach, pineapple, and a clean mineral finish. It is crisp yet creamy and surprisingly versatile.
