Today, I truly challenged myself. I love baking but never learned cake decorating. A dear friend asked me to make his wedding cake for today. After a lot of hemming and hawing, I agreed. I don’t think I’ve ever been so stressed in my life. Catering for 200 people was less stressful. Anyway, I played with my flavors for a couple weeks to get the taste perfect. We had a tasting last week, and today the actual cake. Congratulations to Adam and Maira!

We recently hosted a wonderful private event at Forward Slash, a blending house — and the catering delivered an absolutely stunning and flavorful grazing table spread. The venue’s unique vibe paired perfectly with the delicious offerings!

The Menu Featured:

🥪 Turkey with Bourbon Apple Mustard Sauce on brioche rolls
🥐 Chicken Salad on mini croissants
🥩 Roast Beef with Bourbon Onion Jam on pretzel rolls
🥗 Classic Pasta Salad

The cocktail hour wasn’t just “apps on a table.” It was the opening act.

Mini beef sliders with pickled red onions and garlic aioli. Crispy Brussels sprouts with balsamic glaze and shaved parmesan. Goat cheese stuffed mushrooms still warm from the oven.

Guests circled the display, going back for seconds (and thirds), while the host watched with that satisfied smile of someone who knew she’d made the right choice.
