A grateful nod to the farmers out there who love growing and all the customers and community who make it possible for us to keep bringing local food to your plates.

From cleaning to curing. Garlic is tucked away on racks to slowly draw out moisture in order to preserve the harvest through the Winter and into next Spring, offering up loads of flavor during the lean months. After trialing 11 varieties we settled on three that grow exceptionally well in our type of soil. Northern White, Spanish Rioja, and Thai Purple. You will be able to buy them through the San Juan Islands Food Hub later this year.

Cleaning up garlic before the curing process. This year's crop looks absolutely amazing. We'll set aside the biggest bulbs as seed for next year, continuing the process of selecting the strongest plants adapted for our little patch of earth.
