It’s not looking good for an early cutting. I plan to cut as soon as the ground is dry and we have 3 more days of sunny weather in the forecast. This coming week would be hard since it’s supposed to rain now through Saturday. The ground will be holding too much moisture for the hay to cure without getting moldy.

Checked on the hives today. Bees seem happy. They were quite calm for me disturbing them as much as I did. Added some frames and changed the bottom board to a screened bottom on the swarm I caught. Did not see any sign of varroa mites or hive beetles.
