Sometimes you have to step back, take a deep breath, and give yourself permission to slow down. ❤️
I’m going to be stepping away from social media for a bit, and I’ll also be taking a little break from the Farmstand. The last few months have been a lot emotionally and mentally, and right now I need to take some time for myself and my family.
If you need me, you can find my number. I’ll still have Messenger for anything related to the Farmstand or Loretto community events so please don’t hesitate to reach out for questions. Response times will take a bit longer as I put my phone down and focus on those that matter most.
The Farmstand will still be open on weekends with canned goods, and every now and then I may randomly decide to make a double batch of something because, well I can’t completely stay away from baking ❤️ please continue to stop by for pickles, salsas, jams and jellies, eggs and other stocked items
And please still reach out for your baking needs! I truly love baking and I love being able to make things for and help others. But lately, it has started feeling more like a demanding job than the hobby and joy that it once was. I need some time to find my way back to that.
Social media can carry so much anxiety, so much of it is completely outside of our control. Right now, I’m choosing to focus on the things I can control: my time, my family, my peace, my faith and taking care of myself.
I love you guys more than you know, and I’m so thankful for every person who has supported Hickory Hill Homestead, bought something from the Farmstand, ordered baked goods, shared a post, or simply cheered me on.
I promise this isn’t a good bye, just a see ya later ❤️
