It was a rainy day but that did not dampen the spirits at the 47th Annual Loris Bog Off Saturday, Oct. 17. "You have to find some sunshine in the rain and the Loris Bog Off is a ray of sunshine," said Loris Mayor Michael Suggs as he stood under tent that covered the city of Loris vendor booth.

We’re getting ready for some Halloween fun in Downtown Loris, and we want YOU to join us!

Thanks to our wonderful sponsor, Stevens Farms Produce, we’re inviting everyone to participate in our Pumpkins on the Porch Decorating Contest! 🎃

Here’s how it works:

🎃 Pick up a free pumpkin at the Loris Chamber of Commerce, 3940 Railroad Avenue, October 20–30, while supplies last.

🎨 Take it home and get creative! Paint it, decorate it, dress it up, or turn it into your favorite Halloween character! Let your imagination run wild!

🍁 Bring your decorated pumpkin back to enter our contest! All entries will be displayed at The Porch, 4148 Main Street, during our Monster Mash celebration on October 31!

🏆 Everyone will have a chance to vote for their favorites, and we’ll announce our winners following the event!

RAIN OR SHINE, LORIS KNOWS HOW TO HAVE A GOOD TIME!

What an incredible day at the 47th Annual Loris Bog-Off Festival!

The weather may not have been on our side, but the spirit of our community certainly was! Despite the rain, we came together, made memories, enjoyed great food and entertainment, and celebrated another year of a tradition that means so much to our town.

On behalf of the Loris Chamber of Commerce, we want to extend our heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this year’s festival possible!

To our sponsors, your generosity and continued support make this event possible year after year.

To our vendors, cookers, entertainers, car show participants, and local businesses, thank you for showing up, sticking it out, and bringing so much to our festival.

To our volunteers, committee members, Chamber staff, City of Loris, law enforcement, fire department, EMS, and everyone working behind the scenes, we simply could not do this without you. Your dedication and hard work do not go unnoticed.

And to everyone who came out despite the weather, THANK YOU! You reminded us that the Loris Bog-Off is about so much more than a festival. It’s about community, tradition, friendships, and hometown pride.

For 47 consecutive years, the Loris Bog-Off Festival has brought people together, and we’re proud to continue that tradition. Not even a rainy day could dampen the spirit of Loris!

We are grateful, we are proud, and we are already looking forward to making the 48th Annual Loris Bog-Off Festival bigger and better!

After a day of cooking, competition, and a little rain, we’re excited to announce our 2026 winners!
