Today, we pause to remember the brave men who stormed the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944, changing the course of history and securing the freedoms we enjoy today.

“The eyes of the world are upon you. The hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you.”
— General Dwight D. Eisenhower, Supreme Allied Commander, before the D-Day invasion

As a veteran-owned and operated small farm, Michael’s Minis proudly honors the courage, sacrifice, and selfless service of the Greatest Generation and all who have worn our nation’s uniform. Their legacy reminds us that freedom is never free and that ordinary people are capable of extraordinary acts when duty calls.

Today, we remember the fallen, honor the survivors, and give thanks to all who have served.

🇺🇸 Never Forget.
🇺🇸 Honor Their Sacrifice.
🇺🇸 Support Those Who Serve.

***Farm Update***

At this point, we’re so tired of waiting on grass to grow that we’ve started farming with the miniature equipment instead.

The real tractors have done their job. The seed has been planted. The rain has been falling. Now we’re stuck in the hardest phase of farming: waiting.

So while Mother Nature works on the full-size pasture, we’ve got the toy tractor hauling imaginary hay, tiny livestock moving into their new pasture, and miniature farmhands keeping a close eye on every blade of grass.

The good news? We can finally see green starting to pop up all over the field! It may not look like much to some folks, but every little sprout is one step closer to bringing the minis home.

Until then, we’ll be over here checking the grass every 15 minutes… just to make sure it’s growing. 🌱😂

~ Current status at Michael’s Minis:

✔️ Watching grass grow
✔️ Checking grass every 17 minutes
✔️ Talking about grass growth like stock market analysts
✔️ Pretending we know exactly what we’re doing

Meanwhile, Bog Daddy and Grumpy Green have both been getting a little attention in the shop. Turns out old tractors require almost as much emotional support as people do.

We’ve officially entered the hardest part of farming… waiting on grass to grow. 🌱😂

At this point, watching pasture seed sprout feels slower than watching a pot of water boil, paint dry, or waiting on a tractor part to show up “sometime between Thursday and next Christmas.”

BUT… we do officially have a few blades of grass popping up, and you’d think we just harvested a 500-acre hay field the way we’re celebrating it. We’re out here inspecting tiny green sprouts like proud parents at a kindergarten graduation.

We are definitely thankful for the rain we’ve been getting and hoping Mother Nature keeps helping us along.

Come on rain… come on sunshine… and COME ON GRASS! The minis are depending on you. 🤞🐮

Today, on Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the men and women who served and sacrificed for this country.

For us, this day carries an even deeper meaning as we remember Michael, a Vietnam veteran, a Marine, a neighbor, and a man who helped inspire the dream behind Michael’s Minis. Michael loved this country, loved animals, and loved simple moments spent with the people around him.

This farm carries his name for a reason. It’s our way of keeping his memory, his kindness, and his spirit alive every single day.

Today we honor all who served, especially those who never made it home, and we remember one very special veteran who helped shape our lives more than he probably ever realized.

Semper Fi, Michael. We’ll never forget you. 🇺🇸

Some people might look at this photo and see the world’s saddest patch of grass.

But to us at Michael’s Minis, this is the first sign of new life, greener pastures, and proof that hard work is starting to pay off. 🌱

Every field starts somewhere, and seeing these tiny sprouts push through the dirt reminds us that we’re headed in the right direction. With some much-needed rain on the way, we’re excited to watch this pasture grow and get one step closer to welcoming all the minis home.

Big dreams don’t happen overnight… but they do start one blade at a time. 💚🐮🐴🐐

Big day at Michael’s Minis! By the end of today, we had planted and rolled in total, over 500 pounds of grass seed! 🌱

It may not look like much yet (this was a before photo), but every pass across the field brings us one step closer to welcoming all the minis home. Watching this dream slowly turn into reality has been an incredible feeling, and we can’t wait to share every step of the journey with y’all.

Now we wait…and hope for a little sunshine, a little rain, and a whole lot of green grass soon! 🐮🐴🐐

BIG NEWS FROM MICHAEL’S MINIS

Well… we added ANOTHER tractor to the fleet. 😅

Before anyone asks, yes, this one had Renee’s prior approval. Mostly because it only takes up about 3 inches of trailer space and probably gets 1,000 MPG. 😂

Meet the newest member of the crew: a 1/64 scale John Deere 720. Small enough to fit in your pocket, but still probably thinks it can outwork the big tractors.

At this rate, we may need a whole miniature equipment barn to go with the minis.
