My dad took this photo before putting the last two ladyfingers on and I can’t unsee it - but I also am proud he’s starting to take photos (albeit crooked.) there’s a charm to this page which is that it ain’t freakin perfect it’s what it is. This instagram is instagram before the algorithm changes / there’s no edits it’s all just what life is. Here’s a custom circular tiramisu papa made for a client! We do custom shapes and sizes too :)

The first photo on this slide was taken when I was in foster care and my dad was visiting me on one of his visitation days. When I was a toddler I was taken into foster care because my mother was extremely physically abusive. I was 3 at the time. My father would visit me every visitation he got at the same park in Encino (one that I’ve passed by often as an adult and that still ties my tummy into a knot.) The other day I stumbled upon a box of my old childhood photos and I realized that all of the photos of my childhood exist only because of this man right here - a man I am lucky enough to call my father. Like myself, he was also the victim of my mothers abuse and despite all of the things he endured to get full custody of me (including defying court orders, working years on end for free to cater events for his lawyer and losing his catering business) he never regretted any of it. I remember one day we were leaving a catering party he did for his attorney (the one who helped him with my case) and he was so tired. I asked him if he thought it was worth it or if maybe he should’ve left me with her - he looked at me and said “you are always worth it.” And I feel incredibly grateful that even though my childhood was rocked by some events, I am lucky enough to have a papa that made sure I lived as normal a childhood as I could - that my circumstances never defined my soul - and that if I dreamed and worked hard I could break all cycles and patterns and obstacles that stood in my way. Why am I sharing this? I suppose because I want all of you to know who you have supported over the past few years, and continue to support. How some of the money from this business is actually still paying off lawyer debt (nearly 28 years later), and how who we are beyond these screens and beyond this small business is who we really are: a father who loves his daughter and a daughter who feels grateful to her father for being a safe place in this world. Thank you to my papa (who will likely read this later) and thank you to all of you for supporting him to this day. Feel free to order for the 4th of July now, or for the weekend just because 🌹

Last year papa set up a whole table of valentines themed things (balloons, table cloths etc) and posed for photos and sent me them via text. Half came out blurry, naturally, half he was blinking in, naturally, and yet all of them are extremely cute and wholesome. He did this to remind people to buy some tiramisu for Valentine’s Day! Here’s your very cute, kinda blurry reminder to as well ❤️ the huge tiramisu tray featured is an option we sell on our website too, it’s great for big events, banquets, company potlucks etc!

Happy holidays from us! Thank you for making this another year my dads small business exist. These times of the year are our bread and butter. I’m going to be navigating into helping papa this year with his business a lot more. We are also offering gift cards, recipe sales, and large sizes for events on our website now. Hi all! It’s Isabelle :) it’s been a little while so here are some much needed updates. I took these photos of Papa in 2019 a few days after I launched this tiramisu business for him. He combed his hair and put on a cute shirt and we took some photos. He was so shy and nervous to share them - and self conscious. I look back at these fondly and think about how papa has managed to keep this exact same twinkle in his eyes his whole life. Some people lose their twinkle, and even in the midst of chaos and loss - he has kept his twinkle. I think that’s a great metaphor for keeping your inner light and heart always.

Moving on, we are still continuing to deliver! Papa is going to be delivering with me for thanksgiving and Christmas and we cannot wait to see you all during the holidays. We did a tiramisu recipe sale to help him but we didn’t quite reach our goal and decided we’re gonna pivot in 2024. As I move out of my full time job, I’m gonna put more effort into this business for papa and helping him - so you’ll see more of us in 2024.
