"Will work for beer." This pic is from 2019. At the time I was 22 and working a graduate internship for a top level PR agency in DTLA. I thought the phrase was funny and took this pic. Little did I know at the time what that phrase would really mean for me in my life. Fast forward to 2024 and I've been working in the craft beer industry for 4 years now. Thinking back I'm very grateful for everything that I've gotten to experience as a result. I've made some amazing friends through ADBC, PWH, LABG & SCC, gotten to travel to cities and states I had never thought I'd visit (Minneapolis/Nashville), won awards at CCBC, GABF & WBC, met some industry legends like Garret Oliver & Sam Calagione, brewed my own original recipes on a commercial scale, brewed beer at the beautiful and historic Los Angeles Union Station, brewer collab beer with a coffee roaster, distillery & a mezcal company, grown from cellar person to assistant brewer to brewer to brewer + sales representative (post about that topic coming soon) & so so much more I'm forgetting. I'm proud of everything I've accomplished so far & am thankful for the help and opportunities along the way. Brewing industry is hard and not always perfect, but I love what I do and look forward to learning, growing and making more memories. Anyways idk if I meant for this post to be motivational or I just felt like reflecting real quick. Happy Monday! πͺ
