Tepeztate is not a crop. It is an encounter.

It grows wild in the mountains of Oaxaca, on rocky terrain, in a place most people will never see. Up to 35 years in the ground before anyone harvests it. The land decides when it is ready.

At Rancho Blanco Güilá, the tradition has never changed. The same land, the same hands, the same knowledge passed down through generations.

At Rancho Blanco Güilá in Oaxaca, Wild Tepeztate grows slowly in the mountain soil, guided by house of Mezcal guardian Epifania Gómez Mejía and the women of the palenque who have kept this tradition alive for generations.

Every harvest carries their knowledge. Every bottle carries their name.

Generations built this tradition. We just kept going.

Tepeztate grows wild, shaped by terrain, weather, and years that cannot be shortened.

What follows is not a process to control, but one to respect. Fire, fermentation, distillation each step guided, never rushed.
