Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! We are highlighting two amazing teachers, Gracen and Eddie, who contribute so much to our students' learning and growth opportunities🌟👩🍳📚
Students really can learn so much from cooking! From math to science to reading and writing. We've not only taught students how to be ambassadors in their communities about making healthy choices but also how to incorporate and encourage their learning inside the classroom and utilizing those skills within our cooking lessons. They've also gotten to try lots of tasty foods, which I know they carry with them! My favorite Lunch Bunch recipe has to be Pesto Pasta! The tastiest pesto you've ever tried and I love working with students with different equipment, like the blender, to show how to make a super healthy, yet delicious, pasta sauce they may have never experienced before. Teaching with Lunch Bunch has been a heartwarming experience, being able to take the knowledge and skills that I’ve learned over the past 15+ years in the culinary industry and share it with younger generations is rewarding! We have the power to create future chefs. One of my favorite recipes was the avocado toast with soft boiled egg, as a chef it’s always challenging to master a great yolk but as a teacher and parent, it’s way more of a challenge to try to teach others to do it as well! --Chef Eddie, Enrichments Teacher
