Ingredients
1 cup (240 ml) heavy whipping cream, cold
8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
½ cup (60 g) powdered sugar
¼ cup (60 ml) fresh lemon juice

Homemade Crispy Potato Chips

Skip the store-bought bag and make these perfectly crispy, golden potato chips at home! They're easy to customize with your favorite seasonings and make an irresistible snack.

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 15–20 minutes
Total Time: 30–35 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients:
2 large russet potatoes
2–3 cups vegetable, canola, or peanut oil (for frying)
1 tsp sea salt, or to taste
Optional Seasonings
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp chili powder or cayenne pepper
1 tsp ranch seasoning
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp dried rosemary or thyme
Instructions:
1. Slice the Potatoes
Wash and scrub the potatoes well.
Using a mandoline or a sharp knife, slice them into very thin rounds (about 1/16 inch thick).
2. Soak
Place the potato slices in a bowl of cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
Drain and rinse once more.
3. Dry Thoroughly
Pat the slices completely dry with paper towels or a clean kitchen towel. Removing moisture helps achieve crispy chips.
4. Heat the Oil
In a deep pot or Dutch oven, heat the oil to 350°F (175°C).
5. Fry the Chips
Fry the potato slices in small batches for 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they turn golden brown and crispy.
Avoid overcrowding the pot.
6. Drain
Transfer the chips to a paper towel-lined plate or a wire rack to drain excess oil.
7. Season
While still warm, sprinkle with sea salt and any desired seasonings. Toss gently to coat evenly.
Oven-Baked Version
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Toss potato slices with 2 tablespoons olive oil.
Arrange in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp.
Air Fryer Version
Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
Lightly coat potato slices with oil.
Arrange in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Cook for 12–15 minutes, shaking the basket every 4–5 minutes until crispy.
