Mickey Bearman Company The Mickey Bearman Company is a meat wholesaler who specializes in supplying barbecue style restaurants in Southern California.

The Mickey Bearman Company specializes in selling only to barbecue restaurants. We supply many of the largest barbecue chains and independent barbecue restaurants using our own trucks in Southern California. We sell to distributors all over the United States and, in addition, we ship to such places as Guam, Saipan, Hawaii, and Japan. We are probably the only complete center of the plate specialist

to barbecue restaurants in Southern California. We carry fresh and frozen pork, beef, poultry, and seafood products. As an example, we are a very substantial purchaser of fresh and frozen tri tips, beef briskets, poultry, and other products. We obviously are one of the largest distributors of Loin Back Ribs, St. Louis Ribs, Spare Ribs, and Beef Back Ribs in the United States. In 1986, together with two partners, we opened Curly’s Foods in Sioux City, Iowa, and became a large national company producing raw and cooked products for the barbecue trade. We sold Curly’s Foods to Smithfield Foods in 1997, and of course kept the Mickey Bearman Company. We forward contract with the major packers and protect our customers with product and pricing because we have the capability, source knowledge, and financial wherewithal to accomplish this.
