It’s been two years of non stop learning. But I just wanted to share some of the adventures of homebrewing on Ive scaled up the operation a little bit, but it’s still all homemade. If you love beer and want to try styles not locally offered to you I highly recommend learning how to brew it! To all the homebrewers out there, CHEERS!

Haven’t been able to find any Oberon out here in California so I brewed my own. Super excited to try the final product.

After bottling it takes two weeks to carbonate and then I can throw it in the fridge and try a bottle.

Got to try my first attempt at a German Lager. I call it Slam Dunkles. This Dunkles Bock clocks in at 8% and 20 IBUs with full body and caramel flavors. I have to work on clarity because this style is supposed to be clear but overall it’s a really tasty weekend treat! Leave a comment with a new style you are brewing! How did it turn out?

Happy Oberon day to the beer that got me into craft beer.

Growing up in Michigan and working right across the street from started me on my craft beer journey. I had access to some really great breweries from the beginning but nothing will ever beat the first time I got to have

I’m in California now and can’t celebrate Oberon day just yet but here are some photos of Oberon days past. I’ve even been able to tour the brewery at the eccentric cafe in downtown Kalamazoo.

Happy National Bock day! This is a Dunkels Bock I am brewing. It’s been in my fridge fermenting for a couple weeks and is at 6.2% ABV currently.
