Pullet or cockerel? I’m thinking cockerel.
S/he is an 8 week old white leghorn from a straight run bunch. I have one other that looks the same. The others lack combs so I’m thinking pullets for them.

I lost a 4 month old chicken yesterday, plummeted in 24 hours. Used B, hydrohen in water. She just kept closing her eyes. Sounded gurgly a bit. Now I have another one quarantined starting with same. Is it respiratory? Do I need antibiotics? What do I do to protect my entire flock?

I’m booking in the vet tomorrow but anyone got any ideas what this could be ?
I introduced a chicken and she died a a month later suddenly - had breathing I could hear & had lost a lot of weight very quickly. Fast forward two weeks my other 2 are losing weight and one is closing her eyes every now and again. They have been moved to another coop so they have an element of stress. I can also see them squabbling abit - they’re deciding on pecking order. It the weight loss is related to the bird that died what could it be ? She had no other respiratory symptoms google listed. For reference they are 13 weeks old silkies and duccle.

I have a flock of 15 - 17 weeks old. One rooster. I don’t need or want a rooster, but don’t want him killed either. They do not free range. So question, if I keep him I’ve read differing views on type of feed. As they approach 18 weeks old, is it best to switch to a layer feed? But then I read that this is harmful to roosters since it contains too much calcium for them. Or do I continue a flock raiser feed and supplement with additional calcium for the hens. Foghorn pictured below.
