Tampico Spice

Tampico Spice Since 1947 people have been depending on the Tampico Spice Company to help them make delicious food.

Why are the Tampico Spice Company’s herbs and spices the freshest, most aromatic and pungent available? Because we buy and import the freshly harvested seasonings from growers around the world. Each product is stored whole until we re-clean, grind, sift and blend it at our Los Angeles, California facility, always in small batches to maintain optimal freshness. In addition, each one of the Tampico

Spice Company’s herbs and spices is inspected several times to ensure consistent quality over time. Products are tested after they’re unloaded from the container, again when they’re ready to be processed, and once more after processing is complete. Today Tampico Spice Company is an established and recognized food processor selling herbs and spices across the Western United States. Still family owned and operated, and located in Los Angeles, the third generation of the Martinez family has now joined the team.

We get questions from folks about what herbs you can grow at home, particularly during the summer months. For starters, mint is very easy to grow, and who doesn't like a little fresh mint in their tea or scoop of vanilla ice cream? Just be careful. Mint grows like wildfire, so it's best to keep it contained!πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š

If you're looking for an Easter Sunday Brunch pleaser, how about making an easy and delicious Frittata??? πŸ‘ See image for ingredients. Instructions follow:

Instructions

-- Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C). This will ensure it's ready to bake the frittata once you've mixed all the ingredients.

-- Whisk Eggs: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk (or cream), salt, and pepper. Keep the mixture aside.

-- Cook the Vegetables: Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the asparagus and sautΓ© for about 3-4 minutes, or until they start to become tender. Then add the spinach, cherry tomatoes, and green onions. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the spinach has wilted and the tomatoes soften slightly.

-- Combine Egg Mixture and Vegetables: Reduce the heat to low. Pour the egg mixture over the vegetables in the skillet, making sure the ingredients are evenly distributed. Sprinkle the fresh herbs and crumbled feta cheese on top.

-- Cook on Stove: Let the mixture cook undisturbed on low heat for about 5 minutes, or until the edges start to set but the center is still slightly runny.

-- Bake: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the frittata is fully set and golden brown on top.

-- Serve: Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, and then slice it into wedges. Serve warm.
