The best Jamaican soul food in LA according to… pretty much everyone?! This is Tev’s Kitchen, with an original location in South LA and a new location in Gardena. Their menu changes depending on the day. On a weekend I was able to order at the Gardena location with minimal wait time!

Newly reimagined and reopened Japanese izakaya in Echo Park, perfect for watching the Dodgers game! I went here to watch a game and it was a super fun vibe (they even held a free sake event on that night) and they’ve got some fun Japanese snacks and plates to share while you watch. They also have a happy hour deal from 4-7pm where a different drink is offered at a price that corresponds with the hour, making this a great happy hour spot as well.

A Fallout-themed bar with good drinks is exciting. But a Fallout-themed bar with a skillet cookie? That’s a dream. This is the valley’s new apocalypse themed bar with happy hour every day from 4-6pm!

The perfect weekend trip from LA for relaxation, wine, adventure and more! [AD] In just an hour and a half drive you can make it from LA to Temecula, SoCal’s very own wine country! Temecula is home to Italian, Rhône, and Spanish wine varietals thanks to its Mediterranean climate and boasts more than 40 wineries in the region. It’s a little taste of wine prestige without any of the stuffy pretense, a spot with a little something for everyone.

Here’s how I spent my time there so you can steal my itinerary for the perfect trip. Send this to the group chat to plan a trip to wine country!

New Japanese bakery in Pasadena! Pasadena has quickly become the breeding ground for new viral bakeries, and much like its neighbors, this new bakery is well worth a visit! You can expect fun Japanese-inspired pastries (ever had takoyaki in a pastry?) like salt bread and curry pan, as well as coffee drinks and matcha.

Would you spend $99 on a burger? 😳 What if it was a double Wagyu burger topped with an additional Wagyu strip steak? In total this baby boasts 12 ounces of Westholme Australian Wagyu beef. It’s the new off-menu secret burger from Petit Trois, a limited time offering from the French restaurant already known for its indulgent $38 Big Mec. But this new burger takes it to a brand new level. Would you try it?

📍 Petit Trois, Sherman Oaks and Hollywood
(Sherman Oaks has a bigger menu and the items featured in this video are all from Sherman Oaks but the burger is also available in Hollywood).

One of LA’s best new sandwich shops/wine shops! This is Henrietta, an adorable little all day spot in Echo Park serving delicious sandwiches, great salads, wine, and deli sides. I love a spot like this for a casual lunch — good food, cute atmosphere, and a little glass of wine is the perfect summer lunch for me.
