Oreo Pie Crust
This easy-to-make Oreo pie crust is the perfect base for any dessert, adding a rich, chocolaty crunch to pies, cheesecakes, and tarts. With only two ingredients, it’s a simple, no-bake crust that enhances any sweet filling.
Ingredients:
- 1 package (15 oz) Oreo cookies (about 24 cookies)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
Directions:
Prepare the cookies: Place the Oreo cookies (including the filling) in a food processor or blender. Pulse until the cookies are finely ground into crumbs. If you don’t have a food processor, you can place the cookies in a resealable plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
Mix the crust: In a medium bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs with the melted butter. Stir until the crumbs are evenly coated and the mixture resembles wet sand.
Form the crust: Press the crumb mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish or tart pan. Use the back of a spoon or your fingers to pack it tightly.
Chill: Refrigerate the crust for at least 30 minutes to firm up before filling it with your favorite pie or cheesecake filling.
Bake (optional): If you prefer a firmer, crispier crust, bake it at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes. Let it cool before adding your filling.
