This is a special collaboration we worked on with , an artist style and energy connected with us right away. We loved the way he plays with shapes, lines, and storytelling, it felt aligned with what Ülëw represents: balance, Earth, culture, and community.
For this piece, we wanted to share a message through abstract art. A reminder of harmony with the Earth, of honoring where we come from, and staying connected to the elements that guide us. Cameron brought in inspiration from Mayan codices, Guatemalan symbols like Zig Zag, Serpent, sacred geometry, and earthy tones that feel close to home. The hand-drawn details, the “imperfections,” the flow, it all speaks to the human touch, to creativity, and to honoring our roots.
Ülëw has always been a space for more than coffee. It’s a place for expression, culture, food, music, people, and ideas. If you’re an artist and want to pitch something that aligns with our mission and values, we’re here for it. This space was built for the community.
“I was tasked with creating an artwork that communicated what Ülëw stands for through my playful, hand-drawn style. I’m a huge fan of Mayan hieroglyphs, so this was a joy to draw. The characters were inspired by Mayan Codex drawings with natural, Earth-centered elements. I used a palette close to Ülëw’s colors with extra earthy tones, and kept the human ‘imperfections’ in the linework. I included Guatemalan motifs, sacred symbols, crystals, and textile patterns to celebrate Ülëw’s origins and their world-friendly mission.”
Thank you, Cameron, for bringing this vision forward.
Thank you to our community for supporting art, culture, and creativity. And thank you, Earth, Ülew for inspiring everything we do.
