The way we see it, is a day for all of us to acknowledge and remember our Black Community for their contributions to our nation’s collective forward momentum. We acknowledge that Juneteenth is a sacred day for remembering that Black people deserve liberation, freedom, and celebration for helping to mold our current society for the better with their guts, gifts, grit, and resiliency against the historically-oppressive adversity of our nation. 

We are so fortunate to have such a variety of Black-owned businesses at , and we love helping them grow! We hope to see you on Sunday to support their businesses alongside our other vendors in our richly diverse Farmer’s Market!

We apologize for the confusion! We will have Salsa music with LOS CALICUBANOS for our Juneteenth Celebration, which might seem unaligned culturally, but we look forward to a day in which all ethnic backgrounds will be celebrating and recognizing a day that truly set the stage for all humans to live as free as we all do now.

With our current political climate, WSFM sees JUNETEENTH as more significant than ever, and we hope that you will come visit us on both of these Sundays to partake in some high vibes celebrating Father figures and Black Resiliency!

What does it mean to invest in your community? For one family we met at the market, it starts early. 🌱

A local mom shared that one of the reasons she brings her daughter to Wellington Square Farmers Market is because she wants her to grow up understanding the value of community, not just enjoying it, but contributing to it, supporting it, and helping it thrive in her own way one day.

Her daughter may still be little, but the lessons start now.

We also met her brother and his friend, two neighbors who make the market part of their Sunday routine. For them, it’s about fresh fruit, familiar faces, and being part of something local.

That’s what makes this market special.

It’s not just a place to shop. It’s a place where the next generation learns what community looks like in real life.

Every Sunday, we’re planting seeds, some in the ground, and some in each other. 💛
