If your knife feels like it’s dragging, don’t rush to sharpen it.
Most of the time, it just needs honing.
Hold the rod steady.
Keep your blade at a consistent angle.
Use light pressure and smooth strokes.
A few passes on each side — that’s enough.
Do this regularly, and your knife will stay sharp longer and perform the way it should.
