The Details:

Each half beef you should expect to receive 275 lbs. of quality Angus beef to take home to your family and friends. Processing is paid directly to the processor at the time of picking up your beef. Custom processing is at Rabrokers Custom Processing in Westphalia, Texas will charge around .94 cents per pound.

All the Angus cattle we finish for you are born and raised here. We do not purchase any cattle for our pasture to plate program.

- $1000 per half plus custom processing fee (typically $200-$250) yields between 275 and 300 pounds of meat for your family.

We have beef available now for August processing. We are a third generation Texas ranching family. We raise and market quality Angus beef to feed our family and yours. We sell half beefs, not individual cuts.
One of the most common questions we receive is "How much meat should I expect to get out of a half beef?"
The Answer:
275-300 lbs. of take home meat.
We typically process when the Angus animals when they weigh around 1300 lbs. As a reminder, your actual take home meat is determined by what cuts you want for your friends and family. You pay us for the animal and you pay the processor for their work. Processing usually costs around $250-300, based on your exact specifications. Even at that cost, it ends up costing less than $4.50 a pound for your meat and that includes premium cuts to take home!
The image shown below shows what cuts/quality you might get with a 1,000 lb. animal at processing. Remember, we'll be processing 1300 lb. animals for you, so expect even more!
Buying a half Angus beef is a great way to economically fill your freezer and feed your family.
