Not only did our CA3 kids help prep, setup, and serve our big event yesterday…
They also created some of the most stunning and delicious Halloween themed desserts for today’s Friday lunch. From edible glass to death by red velvet, each dessert was beautiful and perfect for the occasion. We love spooky season! 🧡🩸💀🎃👻🖤

Yesterday, on our nutrition journey, we have yogurt parfaits! Complete with homemade granola. Our CA1 kids whipped up oats with their choice of nuts, seeds, and dried fruits. Sweetened everything with a little honey and an added boost of protein powder. All on top of vanilla yogurt and with a little fresh fruit.
Some of these were masterpieces! Look how beautiful! 🤩

It’s nutrition week in CA1!

This is the unit where we make a few healthy labs. But the best part is that we take a deep dive into what is really in our food. We will share those traumatizing findings another day 😂
Today we made veggie flatbreads! A high protein homemade flatbread dough topped with their favorite flavor of cream cheese spread and then loaded up with fresh veggies.

Now when I tell you all that this is the pickiest class I’ve had in a long time… I’m not kidding! Some of these guys don’t want to try anything and definitely don’t eat a vegetable.
But guess what? They ate one today 🤪

My AMAZING culinary students have worked so hard this week. We had the honor of serving for The United Way for their Dancing with the Stars event. We prepared a buffet for 300 and these kids rocked it! So grateful to have these hard workers in class but especially at this event tonight.
