Fallen Oaks Farm Homesteading in East TN. We are an ~18 acre upstart family farm specializing in miniature jerseys. Hello!

We are Erin and Jeff Dols and are the proud owners of Fallen Oaks Farm, located in East Tennessee. Follow us as we work to transform our 16.8 acres into a permaculture farm. We plan to create a system that produces both meat, dairy, and produce in abundance. In addition to food, we would also like to help educate our community on the many plants and trees that are native to our climate, and one da

y provide a nursery to purchase those plants. We dream to be able to show visitors how everything in the system, from fruit trees all the way down to mushrooms, is working together, and then provide them with the very same plants they've seen. We have been working hard to improve this property into our dream, and there have been some hard lessons and some wonderful surprises along the way, and we hope to share those with you.

We've decided to take a break from breeding Katahdin sheep for atleast awhile and let our old girls retire here. Currently available are the following with more lambs available once weaned and two more Ewes available after 4H season.
Registered 3 year old Ram out of VA Tech parasite resistance program. Nice and easy to work with proven guy. Dill 3️⃣5️⃣0️⃣
Registered 3 year old Ewe - Mimosa 3️⃣0️⃣0️⃣
Registered 3 year old Ewe - Chicory 3️⃣0️⃣0️⃣
2 unregistered 3 month Ewe lambs - 2️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ each
1 unregistered 3 month old Ram lamb - 1️⃣5️⃣0️⃣
Will make a package deal on all and you can have first dibs on the ones being shown etc. They all shed really cleanly just right in the middle of it right now so look a little rough.

Figaro is out of quarantine and we have a plan for his treatment. He's going to UTCVM (my alma mater) to have a partial phallectomy. Sounds terrifying but will hopefully be the one and done treatment he needs with a low complication rate. Cost is estimated to be a few thousand 😬 so you may see a few random things for sale on here.

So we've been keeping a secret, but now that he's out of quarantine and had his vet work......welcome Figaro! I impulse bought this boy out of a kill pen, sight unseen, to keep him from going to slaughter in Mexico. Yes I have impulse control issues but let's not dwell on that. He has thankfully turned out to be very sweet. He is not without some issues unfortunately. He is older than they claimed and will need extra care to put back on a few hundred pounds and maintain himself as his teeth are very worn down. The most worrisome issue is that he has a tumor on his p***s. We biopsied it today and once those results are back we will determine what the best course of action is and unfortunately if its affordable. I'm quite bummed about this news as my inner horse girl had gotten excited to ride again and I even signed up for lessons. But we will do what is right by this old man when his previous owners wouldn't.
