THE, WHAT'S NEXT FARM

THE, WHAT'S NEXT FARM Our family started this page to share stories about our family farm, Randall named our farm about 6 months ago because we never know whats next.

As a child I always was around animals, We had ducks , chickens, pigs , cows and 2 miserable geese. I understood that animals we had were for food but learned also that they needed love and care during their time with us. As time went by my parents stopped raising animals and I felt a little like I lost a part of me. When I had kids I felt like they were really missing out on something special. My

Godson from Maine obviously heard me and one day out of the blue he and his mom delivered 2 baby chicks that he had chased around a farm until he caught them. These 2 chicks are in the profile picture with my boys,Little girl and Bruce. From then we added a few more, rescued a few more and then added ducks!!! I still had a desire to have my boys on a farm so we got involved with the Miles Smith Farm, the farm has become a second family to us. I have learned how to train steers for pulling, and managed to get my husband involved with the farm by repairing fixing and building whatever they break. My hope for the near future is to do some fencing at the Whats Next Farm and continue training steers for the Miles Smith Farm. I invite you to share stories about your own farms so that we may all live vicariously through each others stories.
