The Loudoun Wineries and Winegrowers Association continues its Loudoun Pours to Explore series — a curated tasting experience designed to elevate how consumers engage with the county's growing wine identity. Now in its second installment, the series has established a clear and intentional format: a focused selection of vinifera-based wines from Loudoun producers, a walk-around tasting that encourages meaningful dialogue between guests and winemakers, and sommelier-led context on terroir, grape varieties, and winemaking philosophy. Not a festival. An educational wine gala — and the distinction is resonating.
Guiding the evening is Nadine Brown — one of the D.C. metro region's most respected voices in wine. A 25-year veteran of the Washington restaurant industry, Nadine spent more than 14 years as Wine Director and Sommelier at Charlie Palmer Steak, earning two RAMMY Awards for Wine Program of the Year. She serves on the board of the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington and the Veraison Project, judges the Monticello Cup and Virginia Governor's Cup, and leads her own hospitality consultancy, At Your Service. Her presence anchors the series with the credibility and depth it deserves.
This event shines a spotlight on Rosé, Petit Manseng, and Petit Verdot — three wines that speak directly to Loudoun's stylistic range and viticultural promise.
