The building has earned a coveted Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, LEED, Platinum certification. The architectural design of the tasting room, with two complete walls of glass that extend up for two stories, makes the visitor experience that of an “indoor/outdoor” space regardless of the weather. Not only are the construction features “green,” the aesthetics of the design with the su

rrounding landscape creates the impression that the wine tasting room is an outgrowth of the vineyards itself, similar to the way that the flavors of our award-winning wines express the terroir of the vineyard soils. Special features of the tasting room include solar power panels, energy-efficient windows and lighting fixtures, and the use of reclaimed or locally sourced material.

Saturday, May 30th: Uncorking Norton, A Celebration of Virginia’s Native Grape.

Fifty-Third Winery is proud to host a collaborative food and wine pairing experience showcasing the bold, distinctive character of Norton wines from four acclaimed producers.

We will be joined by Chateau Merrillanne, Horton Vineyards, and Nokesville Winery for a two-part event!

🍇Part 1: There will be a Norton Tasting by each winery from 11:30 to 1:30 for $20 and no reservation is needed!

🍇Part 2: A Norton Food and Wine Pairing experience with all four wineries begins at 2:30. Tickets and reservations are required for this portion of the event, and there is limited seating!
