We often get asked how we cook our meats. When it comes to sausages, it's often super simple. No bun. No extra recipe required. Just sausage as the meat.

Tonight's dinner is kielbasa and alfredo.

Our kielbasa is smoked and all it needs is to be heated through - no cooking necessary. Our other sausages like brats and Italian sausages need to be cooked to 165, but that's easy enough in a skillet on the stove top!

Having home-cooked meals two to three times a day everyday is work but when you keep it simple - Meat/veggie/Carb - meals often come together effortlessly.

The life of a farm kid 😂

Raised outdoors, surrounded by animals, learning how to work hard, get your hands dirty, and entertain yourself with whatever you can find…

Including spending the farmers market tucked underneath the booth table, surrounded by coolers. 😂

No fancy playgrounds needed around here. Just a little imagination and a long market day.

Wouldn’t trade this childhood for anything. 🤎

Someone is always watching on the farm.

The cows see you.
The pigs see you.
And somehow, they always look like they have an opinion about what you’re doing. 😂

But there’s something meaningful about raising food where there’s nothing to hide.

You see how the animals live.
You know how they’re cared for.
You know what goes into raising them.
And you’re accountable for every decision.

We believe transparency in our food system matters. You should be able to know where your food comes from, how the animals are raised, and who is responsible for raising it.

Our last batch of broiler chicks came in this week!

To say that I've been looking forward to this day may be slightly understated.

Raising and providing quality food for our neighbors and community is what we love to do - and I wouldn't trade this life at home for anything - but y'all I'm tired 🤣

Each year we have processed 2 batches of chickens, one spring and one fall batch. But demand has been high (which is amazing and fantastic!)

Each year we have been doubling production and this year in order to keep pace, we did more batches throughout the year. In fact, we have done a batch of chickens every month since April.

This means we have done 6 batches so far this year and MAN y'all! I am looking forward to the slow(er) - and colder! - days of winter. With baby snuggles in my future, it just makes me long for cold days, candles, twinkle lights, and a fireplace 🔥

Anyone else ready for fall and winter? ❄️

One of our most requested products has finally been restocked. Our pasture-raised, hickory smoked bacon is back and ready for your next breakfast, BLT, burger, or favorite recipe.

We also have hog jowl bacon available for those who love rich, traditional flavor. It's a Southern classic that's perfect for breakfast or seasoning beans, greens, and soups.
