✨ What people think is “cute” in a puppy, can become a problem later!
I see this all the time… and truly, I get it.
Because puppies are so cute in this stage.
The jumping.
The little nips.
Following you everywhere like your tiny shadow.
Climbing all over you.
Getting the zoomies at the most chaotic times 😂
It’s easy to laugh and say,
“they’re just a puppy.”
But…
What feels cute right now
is what they’re learning is okay.
That tiny little jump?
It doesn’t stay tiny for long.
Those playful nips?
They don’t magically disappear on their own.
That constant “need to be on you”?
Can turn into a dog that doesn’t know how to settle.
And it’s not because they’re bad.
It’s not because you did anything wrong.
They’re just learning… from us.
Every reaction.
Every moment.
Every time something works for them.
And if it works… they’ll keep doing it.
You can absolutely soak up the puppy stage.
You should.
But just with a little intention along the way.
Gently redirecting.
Showing them what you do want.
Setting those small boundaries early.
Because the goal isn’t just a cute puppy…
It’s a dog that fits into your life so easily,
you don’t have to think twice about it.
And so much of that starts in these little moments
that don’t feel like a big deal at the time.
Be honest… what’s something your puppy did that felt cute at first… but now you’re like “okay wait”
