Hi, Cool Cats! We will be closing at our pop up location - Captain Cooks - for the time being in order for continued renovations. As to a date for reopen, TBD.
While you’re here I’d like to take a moment and share…
This year has been particularly hard for us as a business. At the end of last summer, our first year owning Cool Cats, the news was shared with us that we would no longer be able to stay at the location that has been home to Cool Cats for several years. This is due to the construction taking place on Metcalf. Recently, the transmission broke on our vehicle we use for snow cone events. On a personal note we’ve had a death in the family and another close call.
These aren’t excuses but reasons as to why Cool Cats hasn’t been operating the way it used to. Many customers were overjoyed to know Cool Cats was reopening after COVID. Many customers raved about how Cool Cats was being operated compared to previous years - open longer hours, open more days of the week, open longer for the season, commendable customer service - just to name a few!
We WANT to make every event spectacular and COOL. We WANT snow cones to be a delightful part of your summer just like it has always been. As a family business, we WANT Cool Cats to be successful in providing more then just snow cones, but memories which last a lifetime.

You see, this is also more then just a “business” for us. We enjoy serving snow cones and the smiles that come with it! Snow cones have a special place in my heart personally and as a family. This is long-term for us.
As a business and as a family we are in a place of transition as most businesses and families experience at some point in their journeys. I’m sorry if snow cones, or the lack there of, have been disappointing to many. However, I share in full confidence that Cool Cats is not going anywhere. Things just look a little different at the moment. I hope that the majority of people with empathy will understand that life is hard for everyone, especially now more then ever. I’m asking for understanding as we chart the course, problem solve and brainstorm to ensure Cool Cats continues to provide memories one snow cone at a time, just as we’ve promised.
